A beachgoer had to be rescued after getting stuck in deep mud.
Emergency services were called to Littlestone beach after the casualty sank to their waist.
Fire and ambulance crews attended the beach alongside coastguard teams from Dungeness and Rye Bay yesterday.
The coastguard were forced to deploy specialist mud rescue equipment due to the depth of the mud.
Thankfully, the casualty was freed from the sludge and winched on an inflatable raft to shore, where they were passed on to paramedics for a medical check, and fire services for a wash down.
A Dungeness Coastguard spokesman described the operation as "a textbook rescue made even quicker by all the emergency services working together to achieve the best possible outcome".
