The cottage said to feature on the cover of Pink Floyd’s album ‘A Collection of Great Dance Songs’ is up for sale at an auction next month.
It is just one of the lots listed for sale by Clive Emson, the land and property auctioneers, on March 23.
The fisherman’s cottage is also thought to have featured in numerous TV programmes including Jayne Eyre and the Inspector Lynley Mysteries.
Now the property in Dungeness on Romney Marsh is being offered with a guide price of £165-170,000.
Garden Cottage has two bedrooms and a fisherman’s loft and is believed to have been built in the mid-19 century. The wooden structure lies on the private Dungeness Estate.
Auctioneer Kevin Gilbert, who often features on BBC’s Homes Under the Hammer, said: “The owner believes this to be one of the original fisherman’s cottages on the estate and they are seldom available.
“This property requires improvement and refurbishment but there is huge potential."
A Collection of Great Dance Songs was released in 1981 and the cover shows two ballroom dancers anchored to the ground by ropes.
The compilation includes some of the band's best known tracks, such as Money, Shine On You Crazy Diamond and Another Brick In The Wall.
Clive Emson's auctioneers are regulars on Homes Under the Hammer, presented by Lucy Alexander and Martin Roberts.
The family-run firm's regional office is at Rocky Hill, London Road, Maidstone. The auction takes place at The Clive Emson Conference Centre, Kent County Showground, Maidstone, at 11am on Monday, March 23.
