A Kent lifeboat station will be appearing on BBC's Countryfile in a programme based on the area.
Crew members past and present at Dungeness RNLI will be talking to presenter Margherita Taylor on Sunday.
The upcoming episode, which airs at 6.10pm, will look at the historical 'Dungeness lady launchers', a group of women who aided the launch and recovery of lifeboats on the shingle.
The original lady launchers were the wives and daughters of the fishermen who manned the lifeboats, and the tradition continued for over 100 years until 1979 when the station operated its first lifeboat launched from a carriage.
The show will see Margherita speaking to former lady launcher Betty Paine, as well as present crew member Natalie Adams, who will explain how the role of females in the RNLI has evolved over the years to present day.
Ms Taylor and Mrs Paine will then watch the launch of the Shannon class lifeboat The Morrell in blustery conditions showing just how advanced the launch and recovery of the lifeboat has become.
Ms Adams, who is a Volunteer Navigator and Trainee Coxswain, said: "It was great to be able to show Margherita the Shannon class lifeboat and explain the opportunities that are available as a female RNLI volunteer.
"The lady launchers did an unimaginably difficult job which I have huge admiration for and Betty is a real inspiration."
If you are local to Dungeness and are interested in becoming a volunteer at the station, you can call 01797 320317 and ask to speak to either Roger or Stuart.
Countryfile airs on BBC One at 6.10pm this Sunday.
