A man in his 20s has died after crashing into a ditch in the early hours.

Police were called to Snargate on Romney Marsh just after 1am where the man was declared dead at the scene.

Officers say a blue Daihatsu Terios SX was travelling in the Ham Mill Lane area when it came to a stop in a ditch along the side of the road.

The 20-year-old's next of kin have been made aware.

Officers from the serious collision investigation unit are urging witnesses and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
