A MAN is critically ill in hospital today after a shooting incident which left another man dead.

Police officers were called to Washington Lane on Romney Marsh, near Hythe, yesterday following reports of the shooting.

A Kent police spokesman said the name of the man who died is being withheld until formal identification has taken place.

The injured man, who has also not been named, was flown by helicopter to a London hospital. He was said to have been remained in a critical condition overnight. Police are at his bedside.

Kent Police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
