A motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a car on the A259 at Brenzett.
The crash, on the road between New Romney and Ashford, happened just after 4pm yesterday and police shut the road for several hours while they investigated.
Now officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which involved a grey Renault Megane and a bronze coloured Suzuki bike.
Crew manager Tim Hanley from Ashford fire station said firefighters removed the roof of the car to free the male driver, who was taken to the William Harvey Hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was taken to King's College Hospital in London.
