Nigel Farage has splashed out on a coastal home in the county, it has been reported.
The former Brexit Party leader, who grew up in the Kent village of Downe, near Bromley, is said to have bought a four-bed property in Lydd-on-Sea.
His new seaside home, which has two bathrooms and a games room, also boasts stunning views of the coast and cost £500,000, according to MailOnline.
The website reports that the property was online as a holiday let while Mr Farage was in the jungle.
A holiday website states: “The ever-changing landscape of Dungeness is a delight to watch, and with activities for children and adults within easy reach you can enjoy all that the Romney Marsh has to offer, with the historic Cinque Port town of Rye also within easy reach and the beautiful sandy beach at Camber Sands.”
Mr Farage, who also has a £4 million Georgian home in west London, led Ukip’s campaign to leave the EU, which ultimately resulted in the 2016 referendum.
He served as Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for South East England.
In his attempts to join the House of Commons, Mr Farage stood as a parliamentary candidate in South Thanet but was defeated by Conservative Craig Mackinlay.
He is now a GB News presenter.
Last year, on a visit to Deal, Mr Farage spoke to KentOnline at length about the impact Brexit has had on the county and the rise in small boat crossings.
He said: "I think what’s happening across the English Channel is such a visible disappointment to Brexit voters; they are enraged they’re furious, they thought voting for Brexit we really would get back control.
"And it looks and feels like we’ve lost even more of it. I don’t view this as a failure of Brexit, I do view it as a failure of the Conservative Party implementing Brexit, and the best example of that is that we may have left the European treaties, but we still stayed in the European Convention of Human Rights and its court in Strasbourg.
"All the while that’s in place, I don’t see the cross-Channel situation being solved."
