A dead horse was found on Romney Marsh - the same day police were called to break up a large gathering.
The deceased animal was discovered by officers in Coast Drive, Greatstone, at the weekend.
It was removed by a team from Kent County Council's (KCC) highways department.
It came the same day officers were notified of a large group of people visiting Greatstone.
Police attended the gathering to remind the group of social distancing guidelines and advised them to stick to it.
A spokesman for the force said: "Kent Police was made aware of a large group of people visiting Greatstone at 2.56pm on Saturday, September 19.
"Officers attended and reminded those present of the Government’s social distancing restrictions and encouraged them to adhere to it.
"The group started to leave the area soon after and the location had cleared by around 6pm.
"A dead horse was located by Kent Police officers in Coast Drive, Greatstone, at around 4.10pm.
"KCC Highways was notified and they attended to remove the animal."
A spokesman for KCC said the horse was reported to them at 5pm and removed an hour later.
