A road is closed in both directions following an accident involving a skip lorry and a car.

Dungeness Road is shut following the crash.

This incident is also affecting Stagecoach bus services 11 and 102 with both routes being delayed by about 40 minutes following the road closure.

A spokesperson for the fire service said crews were called just before 3pm.

They said: “Two fire engines attended, and crews used battery-powered equipment to remove the door of the car and release one person, who was passed into the care of SECAmb.”

The police and ambulance service have also been contacted for comment.
