A party of German school pupils had a little too much time to study the Marsh.
Their bus mounted a roundabout at Brookland and ended up stuck there for seven hours.
Police were called to the scene at 3.40pm yesterday. It is not known how the female driver got into difficulty and came off the road.
A total of 26 youngsters and three adults had been on board. Paramedics were also called but nobody was found to be hurt.
But it was seven hours before the coach could be moved.
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: . “A coach with 26 students and three adults on board had mounted the pavement. Three patients were checked over but no one had sustained any injuries.”
Police said that the coach was recovered at 10.30pm that day.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "It is not altogether clear how the coach mounted the roundabout.”
The photograph was posted that afternoon by residents Suzanne Claire on The Real Marsh Watch Facebook page.
