Lydd Town have sacked manager Nicky Southall after just 39 days and four games in charge.
Southall has now departed two jobs in as many months, having left Lordswood by mutual consent at the start of November.
He leaves the Lindsey Field with Lydd seven points from safety at the foot of the Southern Counties East Premier Division, albeit with games in hand.
He lost all four games as manager, three in the league along with an 8-0 Challenge Cup defeat by lower-league Rochester.
The final game of his brief reign was a 2-0 loss at Erith & Belvedere on Saturday.
“Lydd Town have tonight parted ways with first-team manager Nicky Southall,” said a club statement.
“This decision comes ahead of Lydd Town’s next fixture vs Kennington (at home this Saturday, 3pm) after the club’s most recent results.
“Under-23s manager Dexter Gondongwe, as well as first-team players Ryan Smith and James Rogers, will all take charge for the Kennington fixture.
“We would like to wish Nicky and his team the best for the future.”
In his final interview as Lydd manager, Southall, who wished the club good luck on his X account, had voiced concern over the fitness of his players.
“We’ve got a really strong squad but where they haven’t been training since the start of the season, they just seem to run out of steam in the last 20 minutes,” he said.
“Other teams seem to get on top of us and concentration levels suffer.
“When you’re not 100% fit, you either switch off mentally or physically.
“We’ve got to train and, ultimately, the lads have got to want to train.”
Lydd had been without a permanent boss since Scott Porter resigned on the eve of the season before appointing Southall, with Smith and Ronnie Dolan in caretaker charge.
