An A-road was closed in both directions for three hours following a crash involving two cars.

Police turned drivers around on the A258 Deal Road following the collision near Westcliffe, which happened just before 9am.

The road was closed between Solton Manor Cottages, the turn-off for East Langdon, and Church Lane in Ringwould.

Officers assisted with the recovery of the vehicles and reopened the road at about midday.

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.
