Kent Police attended incident last night on A256 Sandwich

Police were called to the A256 Sandwich at 11.46pm last night after a car was reported on its roof in the middle of the road.

A spokesman for Kent Police said a male driver was trapped in the vehicle close to the Pfizer roundabout on Ramsgate Road.

Kent Fire and Rescue Services were also on the scene as the car was leaking fuel.

It is believed the man managed to crawl out of the vehicle and ambulance services were also on the scene.

The spokesman added: "The injuries appear to be minor and traffic was diverted back into Sandwich."

The vehicle was recovered at 1.39am and traffic was back to normal this morning.

The cause of the incident is not yet known.
