A new fast food restaurant and drive thru will open next week.
The KFC can be found along the A256 at Port Richborough, near Sandwich.
Construction at the chicken chain was ongoing yesterday, with a sign letting passers-by that it is 'not open' yet.
The firm has confirmed it will open Wednesday, December 22, creating 35 jobs.
The restaurant is next to the existing Esso petrol station.
On the opposite side of the carriageway is a second petrol station, and a Subway.
Last month, a Starbucks drive thru opened down the road at the Sandwich Discovery Park.
Fifteen new jobs were created with the opening of the coffee shop, which was granted planning permission in 2019.
A sign at the KFC indicates it will open at 11am daily, and delivery will also be available.
Parking has also been created, including disabled bays.
A KFC spokesman said: “Ho ho ho - it’s not just Santa who’s coming to Sandwich this week… That’s right, the Colonel is coming to town on Wednesday, December 22, bringing 35 jobs for the local area as well as buckets of delicious fried chicken!”
