A nursery has shut suddenly, shocking parents.
Bubbles Nursery in Wilmott Place, Eastry, near Sandwich was open as usual on Friday but at around 2pm the parents received an email from the company, Alpha Nurseries Ltd, explaining the situation.
It read: “It is with great sadness that we are writing to inform you that the directors of Alpha Nurseries Ltd. Have regretfully had to make the decision to cease trading with effect from today December 29 due to its financial position.
“As a consequence, all nursery facilities will close with effect from today and will not reopen.
“That was an extremely difficult decision and not one taken lightly, however essentially there is no ability for the business to continue to remain open.
“Please accept our sincere apologies for any difficulty which this may cause you and your family, and we hope you are able to secure alternate arrangements as soon as possible.”
Parent Danielle Perry moved to the area because of the nursery.
The 38-year-old said: “They were always so accommodating.
“It has come as a huge shock. My little boy Louis is tube-fed and I always trusted him with them.
“They were an amazing little nursery.
“I moved to Eastry because of Bubbles a few years ago as I like what they provided and they looked after one of my older children who was completely non-verbal.
“Now I’m having to look around for new places and I have been to nursery bookings but it won’t happen for a little while.”
‘Heartbroken to hear of the sudden closure of Bubbles nursery...’
Others took to social media to offer their words of support for the nursery and its staff.
One person wrote: “Heartbroken to hear of the sudden closure of Bubbles nursery.
“Both my boys have had outstanding care, fun and learning over the past 10 years.
“The team were so hard-working and became like family.
“Sending lots of love for whatever your futures hold.”
