East Kent Ploughing Match at Upper Venson Farm, Eastry near Sandwich

The East Kent Ploughing Match is back after two years.
Like most events it had to be cancelled last year because of the pandemic.
But now the annual event will be at Upper Venson Farm in Eastry from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday, September 29.
It will feature modern commercial ploughing plus vintage ploughing and the ancient method of using horses.
There will also be competitions for grain fruit and vegetables.
As before there is a special schools tent dedicated for use by local pupils plus a crafts tent.
The day will also have several trade stalls as well as a birds of prey display, archery sessions, terrier racing and Welly throwing.
The attendance expected to be is between 3,000 and 4,000 people and all visitor are expected to follow current Government guidance on safety against Covid-19.
The entry fee is £7.50 for adults and children go in free.
