Police called to fight between teens near Sandwich Technology School

Police were called after a fight broke out between teenagers near a secondary school.

Officers attended the scene near Sandwich Technology School in Dover Road, Sandwich, at about 8.45am yesterday.

During the incident, a teenage boy was reportedly assaulted by a boy who is known to him.

A police spokesman added: "One of the boys at the scene is reported to have been seen in possession of a weapon.

"However it is not said to have been used in the assault and no weapon was recovered as part of enquiries carried out by officers."

No serious injury was sustained in the incident.

Police say they have since spoken with the pupils involved, and to their school.

The spokesman said: "In line with national procedures, it has been determined it is proportionate for the school to determine the most appropriate course of action."

The school has been approached for a comment.
