Woman in her 60s treated for smoke inhalation after kitchen blaze in Sandwich home

A woman in her 60s was given oxygen therapy after inhaling smoke from a kitchen fire.
Fire crews in one fire engine got to Hazelwood Meadow in Sandwich at 10.04am.
The blaze, which has been described as small, had been put out when they arrived.
The woman had gone to the assistance of an elderly man who lived in the flat.
The woman was treated at the scene without the need of an ambulance.
