Crime fiction fans crowded into the Bell Hotel in Sandwich for an evening with Martina Cole.

The author and television presenter of the popular Lady Killers series on ITV3, spoke of her reading passion and interest in the criminal world while promoting her new hard back, the Business.

Louise Vance, of Sandwich Bookshop organised the book signing. She said she first met Ms Cole when she had her first book, Dangerous Lady published in 1992.

One of her fans Laura Savage, of Johns Green said: "I thought it was very funny.

"She's an inspiration to women, especially single mothers and those who have had a hard time in life."
