Sandwich Bowls Club members Gordon Charlton and Colin Goldsmith begin their bid to win the British Isles Pairs Championship at Landrindod Wells in Wales on Thursday.

Charlton and Goldsmith, who qualified by winning the England title last year, meet the Scottish champions, Paul Foster and Barry Dixon from Troon, in their opening match.

Charlton is also one of two reserves for the England team competing in the Home Internationals at Llandrindod Wells this weekend.
