From Bowie to birds, wildlife pictures go on show

Famous Sixties photographer Justin de Villeneuve has been focusing on a different kind of wild scene in Kent - bird life.

The man who made Twiggy an international icon and whose subjects included David Bowie and gangland boss Reggie Kray is having his latest collection of works exhibited at Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory.

Forty-four of his images will go on show there on Sunday and Monday as part of the Sandwich Festival.

“I was used to Vogue shoots with fashion models but I have now realised birds are much more enjoyable to work with,” he said.
