Tenants of a science and business park have pulled together to donate to a food bank this Christmas.
Businesses based at Discovery Park gave money which enabled the hub to purchase food for Deal and Sandwich Foodbank.
Suppliers also donated fruit and vegetables to enable nourishment for struggling foodbank users while enjoying their seasonal feast.
All in all it amounted to over £500 cash, 30 fresh boxes of fruit and veg, 150 muffins and cakes, 100 packs of pasta, 100 tins, 25 boxes of cereal and 100 selection boxes.
A Discovery Park spokeswoman said: "It was a joy to see our contribution be gifted to Deal and Sandwich Food Bank.
"Discovery Park also gifted some presents for the little ones.
"A little something extra under the tree or simply just to make people smile. Thank you to tenants, staff and our suppliers at Discovery Park."
Sheila Ward of Deal Area Food Bank said: "We have been overwhelmed by the contribution from Discovery Park. The quality and quantity of the fresh food was amazing.
"Our drivers have distributed all the fruit and vegetables to those families who have claimed food vouchers and really need these fresh goods.
"The food bank over the last 14 days has supplied food to almost 300 families and all the contributions from Discovery Park are so gratefully received.
"The children loved the beautiful cakes – lemonade muffins, snowmen and fruit scones and many more.
"And the extra present wrapped up for the families is so special.
"It has been a morale booster for not just the families we deliver to but to all of our team who work seven days a week to help as many as we can.
"Thank you Discovery Park".
