Pfizer has worked closely with the government to develop the new employer-led Apprentice Trailblazer scheme.
There are ten science apprentices working under the Trailblazer framework across laboratory and manufacturing areas.
Katherine Barclay, product supply director at Pfizer and vice-chairman of the Life Science and Industrial Science Trailblazer said: “We’ve worked with the government to develop apprenticeship schemes that allow young people to learn on the job and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours required, as well as gaining recognised academic qualifications that will set them up for scientific roles. We’re proud to be able to support the UK scientists of the future.”
