Plans have emerged for a new drive thru restaurant at the Discovery Park in Sandwich.
The restaurant is proposed to be open 24 hours a day, employ between 20 and 30 members of staff and have spaces for 20 vehicles - 18 for cars and two for bikes.
The chain lined up to move in has yet to be revealed, but the application has been submitted to Dover District Council (DDC) by the EG Group, which runs more than 300 petrol stations across the UK and 2,500 across the whole of Europe.
In addition, it operates hundreds of roadside restaurants, including 142 Starbucks, 161 KFCs, 12 Burger Kings, 153 Subways and 200 Greggs.
The new, single-storey 220 m sq drive thru will be built on land west of Montagu Road, and sit alongside the already-approved petrol station and drive thru coffee shop.
Together they will form a "roadside service of contemporary standards which provides choice and value to customers", planning documents claim.
The application states that it will be in a "prominent location" within the business park and have good links to public transport.
The form also states that all new staff "will be locally based and benefit from a training and employment programme" and "therefore, should the application be approved, the development will make a positive contribution towards local employment provision".
In terms of which chain will open in the building, the literature states it will be "occupied by a brand" under the EG banner.
It adds: "Accordingly, the application is not speculative in nature.
"It will be built out immediately upon receipt of a satisfactory planning permission and discharge of relevant pre commencement conditions."
Planning permission for the already-consented petrol station and drive thru coffee shop was granted in 2019.
The application was received by DDC this month and a decision is expected in November.
