TIGER Woods will almost certainly be swinging his way back to Royal St George's at Sandwich, Kent's leading golf course.
It was announced today that the Kent course will host The Open Championship in 2011. The prestigious golf tournament will provide a huge boost for the east Kent economy.
Royal St George's last hosted the tournament in 2003 when US rookie Ben Curtis romped to victory.
District council leader Paul Watkins said: "The whole community will benefit greatly as a result of the tournament being held at Royal St George's. We're delighted."
