A new Travelodge in Sandwich is due to be completed in March.
The 75-room hotel at Discovery Park was due to open in November, but construction was delayed.
Discovery Park has now confirmed its new expectations for completion and Travelodge has revealed a summer opening is planned.
It comes as we revealed plans for an Aquapark with a man-made shallow lake and wakeboarding facilities. It is hoped the two attractions will bring tourism benefits to the town and wider east Kent.
Travelodge Spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: “We are delighted to mark 21 years of providing low cost and great quality accommodation in Kent by opening our first Travelodge in Sandwich this year.
"This hotel is our 17th property in Kent and is also the town’s first branded hotel.
"Sandwich Travelodge, a 75-room hotel, that features an on-site restaurant called The Bar Café and car-park is currently under construction and all going well, is scheduled to open this summer."
A Disovery Park spokeswoman said: "The developers will complete by end of March."
When plans were rolled out in July 2019 groups including Sandwich Town Council, gave it full backing.
Mayor at the time Jeff Franklin said: "It will be good for Discovery Park and Sandwich. It will bring business people to the town.
"Hopefully once they've used it and seen how beautiful Sandwich is, they will come back and visit with their families."
The building is positioned in the corner of Car Park D at Discovery Park backing on to Spitfire Way with Montagu Road to the side.
The location within the science park is a convenient location for business and leisure travellers.
A Travelodge statement said: "Research shows that Travelodge customers will spend on average double their room rate with local businesses during their stay which can equate to a multi-million-pound boost for the local economy.”
