A woman has been seriously injured in a collision on a roundabout.

The driver was airlifted to a London hospital after the single-car crash near Sandwich.

Emergency services were called just after 8.30pm last night when a red Kia crashed on the A256 at the roundabout with Lower Street in Eastry.

The air ambulance was called to the scene alongside police and paramedics.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash, and are asking anyone with information to step forward.
