Golf fans may struggle to snap up a ticket to watch The Open in Kent, but they can watch it on the big screen a stone's throw away.
Enthusiasts will be able to soak up the live atmosphere of the 149th Open Golf tournament at Royal St. George’s in Sandwich, by watching it on the big screen at nearby Betteshanger Country Park in Deal - just five miles away.
From 11am to 8pm on Friday, July 16 and Sunday, July 18, sports fans and families can watch the final rounds of the live event on the big screen in the huge amphitheatre, along with plenty of local food and drink.
Golf fans will be able to sit and watch the action socially distanced with street food stalls, courtesy of City Feast, on hand along with a boutique bar serving Kentish brews and cocktails.
There's also some family-friendly activities including the chance to try the mini golf course, take part in a long range putting competition; an inflatable golf dartboard, or a driving range simulator.
Other attractions include funfair rides and bouncy castle, as well as all the usual Betteshanger Park activities including cycling and geocaching.
The event is free to enter. Car parking charges and admission prices for some rides and activities will apply.
