People living in a residential street were given a shock after a three-metre long snake was found in the road.
It’s believe the serpent was a Boa Constrictor and had made its way from a nearby house.
Police were called to Oakhill Road in Sevenoaks at around 4.10pm on Sunday, September 3, after the snake was spotted.
A spokesman for the force added: “Officers attended along with a specialist from the National Centre for Reptile Welfare.
“The specialist safely retrieved the snake, and it was transported to their facility in Hadlow.
“Contact has been since made with a residential property in Sevenoaks, where the snake is believed to have come from.”
Suzy McDonnell snapped a picture of the Boa, adding: “Not your average Saturday late turn call. Identified as a Boa Constricted, three metres.
“What an upset little boy he was, in the middle of the road, thanks to National Reptile Rescue Centre.”
The common Boa Constrictor is often a pet in the UK and can reach an adult length of 12ft, but averages between 5-9ft.
