Motorists are facing huge delays on the M25 tonight following a three-car crash earlier this afternoon.

The accident happened just before 3pm, leaving an overturned vehicle blocking two lanes of the anti-clockwise carriageway between junction 4 and junction 5 for Sevenoaks, A21.

The wrecked cars have now been cleared, but the knock-on effect has left the motorway resembling a car park this evening.

Traffic jams of more than eight miles have been reported in the area as rush hour traffic builds up.

No one was trapped but one man was given first aid and oxygen therapy by firefighters before being taken away by ambulance.

No serious injuries have been reported.
