Car stolen in Otford after thieves take car keys left on display

Police have reminded residents not to leave car keys on display in their homes after a vehicle was stolen from a property in Otford.

The theft is thought to have taken place between 3.30pm and 6.30pm on Sunday.

It is believed a fishing rod was used to reach the keys through the letterbox of the Pilgrims Way West property.

A police investigation is currently underway.

Officers are reminding drivers to make sure their car keys are not left visible within their homes, and to ensure their vehicles are locked overnight.

They also recommend parking in a secure location if possible, and double locking doors and windows.
