CCTV appeal after Sevenoaks footpath attack

A couple were attacked by a stranger in an alleyway.

Officers investigating the assault in Sevenoaks have released the image of a man they want to speak to.

It is reported that at around 10.15pm on Tuesday, May 3, a man was punched in the face and a woman pushed to the floor by a stranger.

The victims were walking together when the incident took place along a footpath that connects South Park and Oakhill Road.

Detective Constable Ben Broad said: "As part of our CCTV enquiries we have now identified a man who we believe would also have been walking around this area at the time.

"He may have seen or heard something important that could assist our investigation and it is important we speak to him in order to eliminate him from our enquiries."
