Fire service called to accidental barn fire in Edenbridge on New Year's Eve

Fire crews were called to Edenbridge to tackle a blaze that broke out in a barn.

Firefighters used a hose reel to extinguish flames in the lounge of the detached barn conversion on New Year's Eve just after 11am.

Smoke was cleared from the property with a special fan.

The fire which started accidentally caused a small amount of damage to a basket of logs, carpet and wooden flooring.

Two engines attended and crews left the scene at 11.45am.
