Firefighters tackle flames at house in Oldbury Lane, Ightham near Sevenoaks

Over a dozen firefighters have tackled a blaze that broke out in an Ightham home.

Kent Fire and Rescue service was called to the property in Oldbury Lane just before midday.

Approximately 17 members of crew in breathing apparatus attended.

The fire involved the first floor and roof space of the building.

Children at Ightham Primary School were being kept indoors during the lunch hour.

Two main jets and two high pressure hose reels were used to tackle the flames.
