Commuter trains to Tonbridge and Sevenoaks face delays after London Charing Cross station was evacuated this afternoon.

Trains were being held outside the station and Waterloo East as police closed off the area at about 5.40pm.

The station has now reopened and trains service are running under an altered timetable with delays of up to 30 minutes.
