Kent Fire and Rescue Service used cutting equipment to remove a woman from a car after a crash in Maidstone Road, Seal nr Sevenoaks

Firefighters freed a woman in her 20s from a car following a four vehicle accident this morning.

The casualty had suffered injuries to her spine and also had a suspected fractured arm.

She was not trapped in the vehicle but due to could not get out due to her injuries.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to remove the roof and an ambulance then took her to Tunbridge Wells Hospital.

An ambulance spokesman said they were called shortly after 8am and sent two ambulances and a support vehicle to the scene.

A second patient was taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, in Orpington.

Fire crews attended at 8.37am and police were called at a similar time.

A police spokesman said no arrests have been made.
