Movie lovers will be in their element when a film festival arrives in Sevenoaks later this year.
Free screenings for schools, colleges and youth groups will take place at the Stag Cinema in November.
Film buffs from across the district are being given the chance to take part in the memorable and educational cinematic experience as part of the Into Film Festival.
The free event is an annual celebration of film and education, taking part across the UK.
It aims to use the medium of movies and film-making as a learning tool.
Bringing the magic and educational value of the big screen to life, the project immerses five to 19-year-olds in the world of film watching and making.
"Any creative education is good. Anything that makes kids think about creating anything" - Ewan McGregor
Actor, Ewan McGregor, who supports the initiative, said: "Any creative education is good. Anything that makes kids think about creating anything. Writing, art, film, theatre – is great. I think it’s a really important part of education.”
Helena Bonham Carter added: “Film is such a fantastic medium, it can bring you to places and show you places...immerse you in a world of stories. Storytelling is the most important thing as it’s lasted for so long.
"It’s just another way of telling a story but amazingly compulsive. I find it fascinating, I mean you just have to sit there and it comes to you and if it’s part of a free festival...even better.”
Showings will take place on a number of dates including:
Thursday, November, 5 – Paper Towns
Friday, November, 6 – The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom
Thursday, November, 12 – Penguins of Madagascar
Friday, November, 13 – Tomorrowland: A World Beyond
Thursday, November, 19 – Tangled
