One lane of a busy Sevenoaks road has been closed to allow a power fault that left hundreds of homes without power to be fixed.

Lane one is closed on the A225 High Street outside Waitrose and UK Power Networks engineers are working to repair a problem in a high voltage cable.

The fault caused a power cut at 5am yesterday which left 355 properties in the High Street area of the town without power.

Diversions are currently in place. Traffic from the High Street heading toward Tonbridge is unaffected.

However traffic travelling from, Tonbridge cannot turn right into the High Street and is being diverted via London Road and Pembroke Road.
