A 39-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man was reportedly slashed with a sword.

Anthony Dinnadge was arrested after a man was allegedly assaulted with a bladed instrument in Brasted on Monday.

Emergency services were called to the scene, in West End, just before 1am and found the victim suffering injuries to his neck.

He was taken to a London hospital by road.

Dinnadge, of West End, has now been charged with attempted murder and remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court this morning.
