Brasted: Man taken to hospital after suffering injuries in alleged assault

A man has been taken to hospital after reportedly being slashed with a sword.

Police, ambulance and the air ambulance road crew were called to Brasted at 12.40am to reports of an assault.

It was reported a man had been assaulted with a a bladed instrument, reported to be a sword, outside a property in West End.

The teen was arrested yesterday.

The victim was taken by South East Coast Ambulance Service to a hospital in London.

He suffered an injury to his neck, but it is not thought to be life-threatening.

Police attended the scene and a spokesman said inquiries are on-going to locate the offender, who is believed to be known to the victim.
