An overturned caravan caused long delays on the M25 this afternoon.

Two lanes were blocked on the clockwise carriageway between J4 for Orpington and J5 for Sevenoaks at 2pm, following the accident.

Two lanes of the anti-clockwise section were also blocked for recovery work, but had reopened by 4pm.

Police, paramedics, firefighters and Highways England were at the scene.

No serious injuries have been reported.
