Paramedics desperately tried to revive a man found outside flats in Sevenoaks after he collapsed, likely due to the combined effect of alcohol and his prescribed medication, and succumbed to hypothermia.

Cody Malone, 32, from River Bend Close, Canterbury, was discovered lying in a car park in Greatness Lane on the morning of March 8

During an inquest opening the medical cause of death was given as hypothermia, exposure, alcohol and multiple drug intoxication.

A nearby resident is believed to have found Mr Malone between two vehicles and called 999.

CPR was performed by paramedics but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Assistant coroner Alan Blunsdon heard that Mr Malone had some bruising to the left of his temple and a reddening to his eyes, during the inquest held last month in County Hall, Maidstone.

The inquest has been adjourned until October 14 in County Hall.
