M25 between J5 and J6 closed for hours after pedestrian seriously injured in fall onto motorway

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after falling onto a motorway.

Emergency services were called to the M25 between the junctions for Sevenoaks and Godstone shortly after 7.30pm yesterday and the road was closed while the injured person was treated.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 7.40pm on Thursday to a location on the M25 where a pedestrian had fallen and suffered serious injuries.

"The injured person has since been taken to a London hospital for treatment and no vehicles were involved

"A road closure was enforced, to ensure public safety, and by around 12.20am on Friday all closures had been lifted."
