Drivers have been experiencing delays after a petrol tanker caught fire on the M25 near Sevenoaks this morning.
Police and fire crews responded to the blaze which began near the back rear wheel of the vehicle trailer just before 9.30am. The lorry was forced to pull over to the hard shoulder of the clockwise carriageway near junction 5.
The driver used a portable extinguisher to partially put out the fire and it was completely extinguished by fire crews.
One carriageway remains closed and is not expected to reopen until 1pm.
