Kent Police issue warning against advertising parties on social media as officers injured and vehicles damaged in Sevenoaks

Kent Police have asked people not to advertise upcoming parties on social media as recent parties have led to injured officers and damaged vehicles.

The force says officers in Sevenoaks responded to two parties in two weeks where hundreds attended and caused widespread disruption.

Police in the Sevenoaks area fear that these types of gatherings mean they cannot be where they are needed most.

In a tweet, Kent Police said: "If you have an upcoming party, please do not advertise on social media.

"Two parties in two weeks where hundreds have attended and caused widespread disruption, injuring officers and damaging vehicles meaning we cannot be where we are needed most."

Kent Police have been contacted for a comment.
