A road was closed in both directions following a crash.

The A225 Tonbridge Road, near Sevenoaks, was shut about 4.30pm from Weald Road to Gracious Lane, due to a collision between two cars.

Drivers were queueing and faced delays.

Police spokesman Martin Very said: "Police were called at around 4.20pm to a collision involving two cars on the A225 near Sevenoaks.

"Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene where both drivers were treated for injuries before being taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.

"Officers remain at the scene arranging recovery for both vehicles."

No injuries are thought to be life threatening and the road was reopened shortly after 8pm.

The ambulance service has been contacted for further information.
