A teenage singer and actor from Maidstone will appear in a star-studded movie based on a popular video game series.

Fourteen-year-old Louis Dulanto-Sime lives in National Trust property Stoneacre, in Otham, with his mum and grandparents and dreams of becoming a professional actor.

He will appear in Assassin’s Creed – an action packed fantasy starring Michael Fassbender, Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons – which got its first Kent screening on New Year’s Day.

Louis, who sang in Rochester Cathedral’s choir when he was younger, has been sworn to secrecy over the details of the much anticipated film but was able to reveal a few things.

Speaking to the Kent Messenger, he said: “I am playing a chorister and sing during one of the scenes. I can’t say exactly where it was filmed but it was in the UK.

"I didn’t meet the big stars but they were present and they seemed very professional.”

The budding actor also revealed he wears a cloak in the film and hopes to be on screen for between one and two minutes.

Benedict Cumberbatch.

Born in New York to Scottish and Peruvian parents, Louis was picked for the part in Assassin’s Creed while a member of The Capital Arts Children’s Choir, based in London.

The King’s School, Rochester, pupil has also sung with the London Children’s Opera Company and performed the lead role of Jaffett in Noyes Fludde at the Actors’ Church, Covent Garden.

But his current passion lies with acting and he is trying to move more into that field.

He said: “I like picking a character and making it my own. I like quiet, smart but maybe egotistical characters. My favourite actor is Benedict Cumberbatch. I like his techniques and the way he portrays different characters in certain ways.”

The family booked tickets to watch Assassin’s Creed at Bluewater’s Showcase cinema on New Year’s Day.
