Three charged in connection with Sevenoaks robbery

Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with a robbery.

John Moys, 44, of Hoath, Canterbury and Nicholas Hamill, 34, of Carlton Hill, Herne Bay were arrested by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate yesterday following an incident in Wildernesse Avenue, Sevenoaks.

They were later charged with conspiracy to commit robbery between March 20 and May 4, 2017.

Ronnie Mead, 29, of Wincheap, Canterbury was arrested the same day and was charged in connection with setting fire to a vehicle which is linked to the offence.

All three appeared by video link before Medway Magistrates’ Court on April 25 where Mr Moys and Mr Hamill were remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on May 23. Mr Mead was bailed to the same court hearing.

A 44-year-old man from South Ockenden, Essex was also arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary on April 24 and remains in police custody.
