Ash: Two suspected burglars charged after torchlight seen coming from empty South Ash Road property

Two suspected burglars have been charged following reports of torchlight in an empty building.

Police patrols accompanied by a dog attended a premises on South Ash Road, Ash near Sevenoaks at about 2.45am.

Colin Boorman, 61, and Alexanda Kurt, 31, were arrested on suspicion of burglary, with officers seizing a quantity of lead, cable and a bag containing gloves and tools.

The pair, both of Alamein Gardens, Dartford, were later charged with burglary. The 31-year-old was also charged with possession of a class B drug.

Both were bailed to attend Sevenoaks Magistrates Court on October 2.
