Police have issued a warning after two women reported being groped as they walked home from Edenbridge railway station.

Both told officers they had been approached by a man in Stangrove Road who then touched them inappropriately.

The first happened between 9.50pm and 9.55pm on Tuesday, while the second took place between 10.30pm and 11pm.

Ch Insp Tony Dyer said: "While we do not wish to alarm people we do have a duty to warn and inform residents of these incidents.

"Both incidents were reported to have happened on the same night and I believe there would be people in the area who may have seen this man.

"I would encourage anyone with information to get in touch with Kent Police and I’d like to remind people to be vigilant when out walking late at night and anyone who feels they are in immediate danger should always call Kent Police on 999."
